Dog friendly game: Sit Command

Looking to teach your dog a command when you're free? sploot got you!

"Sit" is a basic dog training command that every dog should know. It is a way to help your dog settle a little bit in one place and focus. The training can also help lay the groundwork for "stay".

Here's how you can teach:

1. Show the Treat: Get your dog’s attention and show your dog that you have a treat in your hand.
2. Hold the treat just above your dog’s nose (not too high or your dog might jump). This will make your dog sit.
3. Repeat these steps until your dog sits at the sight of the treat above its nose.
4. Next, add the cue word: Say your dog’s name followed by the word “sit”.
